Improved map search, forum overview and gallery access and more
Written by retired_26819 12 years agoIt has taken another month again but the new release of BW Rox, the software that powers BeWelcome, has finally arrived. You can now enjoy the following improvements:
- changed profile comment editing to actually allow modifying written text, instead of appending
- changed forums overview page layout to be more user-friendly
- changed display of result count at member search to provide more information to anonymous users
- fixed privacy flaw that made all galleries publicly accessible
- fixed map search to work for more places again
There are a number of other fixes and improvements which are minor or mainly affect members with special permissions on BeWelcome (admins and volunteers). To see the full list, have a look at the changelog.
That the search now does not choke on some profiles any more and list them properly, will hopefully make it easier to find hosts when you are travelling. It also should be much easier to navigate the forums from the overview page now and you can make much better use of your gallery because you can deliberately make it publicly accessible along with your BW profile.
