Friends come first - in a successful BeWelcome weekend in Sète / Southern France

Written by duesseldorf 2 years ago

8 BeWelcome travelers found their ways to Sète, a town at the Mediterranean Sea in the South of France: 7 French and Neta98 from Israel.

Sète is located between land and sea, so water was the main topic of this BeWelcome weekend - and it was surprisingly wetter than expected: A strong storm with heavy rains flooded the campside the night before the gathering began. Swimming tents convinced all participants to spontanously rent a luxury mobile home - the last one available on the campside.  This became the meeting point for all the participants who enjoyed many moments in the jaccuzi. Also some "BeerWelcome" moments happened :)

(There is even a forum group "BeerWelcome" for the beer lovers who also love word games: https://www.bewelcome.org/group/1852)

Everyone enjoyed water ativities such as swimming and kayaking. Have a look at the photos: Lio was the only dog in the event and showed everybody around his ability to navigate on a canoe.

Many more activities followed one another over three consecutives days ... and in the end all participants left happy. There is obviously nothing better than spending the last "holidays" with BeWelcome friends and enjoying the summer sun.
