Change of Terms of Use

As of March 1st, 2016, BeWelcome will have slightly altered Terms of Use (ToU). We would like to inform every BeWelcome member about those changes, hence the community news. Every member will receive an e-mail with this notification shortly. If you don't receive it, please check your spam-folders and if possible, mark it not as spam and/or add BeWelcome to a whitelist (= accepting all notifications from BeWelcome from now on).
What will change for you?
Most likely nothing will change for you. There are 2 small changes regarding content:
- we added the example of "making discriminatory statements" in the list of behaviour which is not welcome on BeWelcome.
- any disputes can be filed in the competent court throughout the entire French legislative territory. The previous version stated one specific court in Rennes.
One changing legal aspect
In the past, we provided the ToU in English only. According to French law, we need to provide the Terms of Use in French, which would be the only authoritative version. To enable all members to read the content of the Terms of Use, we'll do our best to provide translations in as many languages as possible.
